U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command to Host Two-Day Reverse Industry Day at GovMilSpace During SATShow Week 2026
Engagement brings senior SATCOM, NC3, and MILSATCOM leaders together with commercial organizations for focused discussions on emerging technologies and capability needs
Rockville, MD, November 19, 2025 – SATShow Week 2026 announced today that U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC) System Delta 88 will conduct a two-day “reverse industry day” on March 23-24 during GovMilSpace at SATShow Week 2026 in Washington, D.C. The engagement marks a significant opportunity for commercial space organizations to hear directly from senior U.S. Space Force leaders on SATCOM priorities, operational considerations, and technology developments under evaluation across multiple mission areas.
The reverse industry day format creates a structured environment for exchanging information, enabling government leaders to outline their current thinking on SATCOM architecture needs while providing companies with clarity on areas where commercial innovation may align with emerging requirements.
The engagement begins on March 23 with an unclassified Space Force S2 Threat Brief and Keynote delivered by:
Immediately following the keynote, GovMilSpace will host a senior leadership panel focused on the evolving SATCOM landscape.
SATCOM Evolving Technologies: User, Operator & Acquirer Perspectives
Confirmed participants include:
The discussion will address SATCOM coverage needs, protected communications, interoperability considerations, and technology pathways under review across user, operator, and acquisition communities. The session will be held under Chatham House rules to support open, candid dialogue.
On March 23-24, SSC will conduct structured one-on-one meetings with participating companies. These conversations are designed to help government teams understand technology maturity, development timelines, and commercial trajectories in areas such as micro- and small GEO satellites, direct-to-device concepts, and alternative terminal solutions.
A Moment of Convergence for Government, Industry, and Technology
The reverse industry day aligns with a period of rapid innovation across the commercial space sector, as companies accelerate development of new architectures and communications capabilities. GovMilSpace provides a platform for government program offices to observe emerging technologies, understand industry direction, and communicate near-term and long-term considerations.
“The pace of change in space communications has never been higher, and both sides, government and industry, benefit from open, well-structured dialogue,” said Jeffrey Hill, Executive Chairman of SATELLITE x GovMilSpace. “By hosting this engagement at GovMilSpace, we’re creating a forum where complex questions can be explored directly with the people shaping SATCOM’s future.”
GovMilSpace attendes include government and military leaders, program managers, acquisition officials, technical experts, and commercial innovators from across the space and defense ecosystems.
The U.S. Space Force / Space Systems Command will announce additional activities related to the reverse industry day event as we approach the opening of SATShow Week 2026.
