Startup Space Competitors Announced!

Hello SATShow Week Community!

We have a lot of exciting announcements to share…

We are pleased to announce the finalists for our 10th annual Startup Space Entrepreneur Pitch Contest! This past summer, we received applications from nearly 60 space and satellite technology startups from around the world. The 10 applicants who were selected by our judging committee will deliver their competitive pitches live at Startup Space on Tuesday, March 24th between 11am and 2pm in the SATELLITE Exhibit Hall Unveiled Theater! They will compete for a grand prize package including guaranteed investor meetings, trips to events, industry donated services, and more. This year’s finalists are:

Matteo Vismara, representing SatEnlight (a Bandwidth Optimization/Transmission Technologies company based in Italy)
Scarlett Koller, representing Mithril Technologies (a Spacecraft Components Manufacturing company based in the USA)
Yasuhito Uto, representing BULL Co., Ltd. (a Space Sustainability Tech company based in Japan)
Shoaib Iqbal, representing Esper Satellite Imagery (an Earth Observation Imagery & Data company based in Australia)
Constance Erlanger, representing GoKnown (a Blockchain/Cybersecurity company based in the USA)
Rama Afullo, representing Satlyt, (an Advanced Computing/AI Technologies company based in the USA)
Naman Chawla, representing OrbitArch (an Orbital Traffic Data company based in India)
Negar Feher, representing Spacedock (a Dual-Use Space Payload Platform and Docking company based in the USA)
Lennon Suga, representing Ocean Solution Technology Co., Ltd. (a Mobile Maritime / Industrial IoT company based in Japan) 

A 10th competitor, which will be provided by our conference programming partner Nova Space, will be announced shortly.

Startup Space is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year! Since its inception, Startup Space has brought more than 160 startups to the big stage at SATELLITE. It has also helped propel some of today’s leading satellite and space technology companies into the spotlight. Former competitors include: Orbit Fab, Astroscale, Ursa Space, LeoLabs, Voyager Space, Swissto12, OQ, QuadSat and dozens more! 

The event is generously sponsored by JSAT International Inc., which has taken an active role in helping us connect with startups in hard-to-reach markets, and directed by Rafferty Jackson of Jack Industries. This year’s judges panel includes:  David Anderman (Stellar Ventures); Matt Oconnell (DCVC); Josephine Millward (OpAmp Capital); John Richmond & Alison Perez (Lockheed Martin Ventures); Michael Palank(MaC Venture Capital); Terence Craig (Toyota Ventures); and Mark Boggett (Seraphim Space).
