Space Florida and IHMC Partnership Announced

Space Florida and IHMC to Present “Future Cast,” Spotlighting How Florida Research Moves from Lab to Mission

We’re excited to announce that SATELLITE x GovMilSpace is teaming up with Space Florida and the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC) for Future Cast, a session on how research in human-machine teaming, robotics, AI, and human performance makes the jump from the lab to mission-ready capability.

Join us Tuesday, March 9 at 3:30 PM in the Space Domain Theater, inside the GovMilSpace Pavilion on the exhibit hall floor. Three quick lightning talks from IHMC researchers kick things off, followed by two panels: one on commercialization and the “translation layer” between research and the field, and one on the funding, partnerships, and companies coming out of Florida. Future Cast is open to all SATShow pass holders.

Speakers include:

• Dr. Robert Griffin, Senior Research Scientist, IHMC
• Dr. Matthew Johnson, Senior Research Scientist, IHMC
• Ron Lau, Chief Investment Officer, Space Florida
• Ian Perara, Senior Research Scientist, IHMC
• Ryan Duffy (moderator), Head of Business Development, Array Labs & Editor, Per Aspera
• Susan Paley (event organizer and moderator), Partner, Conduit Venture Labs & Strategic Advisor to IHMC
