Here’s What You Missed: GovMilSpace Digital Series🌐

The opening panel of the GovMilSpace Digital Series set the tone for the entire program, bringing together top leaders, Dr. Gurpartap Sandhoo, Space Development Agency, Tom Sepka, U.S. Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center, and Paul Wells, UK Ministry of Defence to spotlight one urgent theme:

👉 Advancements in ground terminal technology are the most critical factor in enabling multi-orbit operations.

Panelists emphasized that commercial industry is essential in driving innovation, particularly in open architecture, universal handoff between networks (DIFI), and hardware form factors as small as a water bottle (yes, there’s a moment where Wells from MoD holds one up to illustrate). These advancements are key to overcoming what they identified as the biggest risk to multi-orbit: cost of operation.

Sandhoo noted that they’ll be using their Tranche approach, the same model used to build out p-LEO, to field commercial ground systems going forward.

At the close of the session, Sepka shared a clear call to action: they need more technical information exchange with industry.
