Hello to our SATELLITE and GovMilSpace community!

I have some very exciting news to share regarding our GovMilSpace conference program. The U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC) System Delta 88 has selected us to host a “reverse industry day” during SATShow Week. The reverse industry day will consist of: an unclassified Space Force S2 Threat Brief and Opening Keynote by U.S. Space Force CM Sgt Ron Lerch, Senior Enlisted Advisor (SEA) to the Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Intelligence (DCSO-I); a panel titled “SATCOM Evolving Technologies: User, Operator and Acquirer Perspectives”; and various 1-on-1 meetings throughout the week.

Speaker participants in the U.S. Space Force SATCOM Evolving Technologies panel, taking place later that morning at 9:30 am, are:

• Colonel Jeff Weisler, Commander of Space Delta 8, responsible for the Department of Defense (DoD) Military Satellite Communications System (MILSATCOM) and is the focal point for U.S. protected and assured SATCOM. 
• Colonel A.J. Ashby, Commander for System Delta 88, Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM), Space Systems Command.  
• Colonel Ryan A. Rose, the System Program Director for Strategic SATCOM, System Delta 88, Space Systems Command.
• Dr. Todd Sriver, the Director of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)).

The agenda for this discussion, which will be open only to conference pass holders with Chatham House rules in place, will include an overview of the NC3 mission, coverage and interoperability requirements. I will be leading the group as moderator of the discussion, which will include answers to questions such as: What is driving key critical capabilities? What are the government constraints? How can Industry Help?

In partnering with SATELLITE / GovMilSpace on this reverse industry day event, the U.S. Space Force’s goal is to engage with our industry attendees to seek commercial technologies such as, micro/small GEO satellites, direct-to-device, and alternative terminal solutions to enhance current capabilities available to the warfighter and learn about the capabilities and maturity of these technologies. 

U.S. Space Force will be announcing additional activities related to the reverse industry day event as we approach the opening of SATShow Week. 

We’re thrilled to be able to share this news with you. We know that government and military organizations are becoming much more selective with public events and we’re honored that we were chosen to host U.S. Space Force for this very important industry engagement event.
